Iowa Historical Marker, Caravan to State Fair

A marker on the southwest corner of the square tells the story of a covered wagon caravan to the Iowa State Fair in 1954 to commemorate the First Iowa State Fair held in Fairfield in 1854. Another caravan took place in 2004.
